When Love Hurts

Approximately 7 billion people currently live on Earth. Plus some undocumented ones, too. Insert alien joke here for the alien conspiracy theorists. With 7 billion people on Earth, someone on this world is bound to find me as their perfect match. In my case, I thought this would never happen. Everything about what I believed in love and finding a perfect match changed today. I will call the person who changed everything, M. I refused to think I had enough to offer M until they finally broke down the thick wall I had put up. M wielded a sledge hammer and took that wall down by swinging the hammer softly each day. Slowly, cracks in the wall began to spread, but I resisted. No way, I would not let them break through. I pushed back. I became perturbed. I denied. I tried to push them away. Today, M broke down the wall. Today, they found me vulnerable and in unknown territory. M held their ground and built me back up. They gave me their strength to stand up and stand strong. Today, I fell deeper in love because I know M truly loves me and all of my faults.

The Leadership Test

I read 11 chapters of my Civil Air Patrol leadership book in preparation for the Earhart Milestone leadership test. I only gave myself about 3 hours to study because that was how long I had until the test. I have got to tell you that was the most information to ever go into my brain in such a short time period. I honestly did not think I would pass the test, but I earned a 92%! I would like to thank my mom, dad, and special friend for supporting me.
